Awareness of girls and women with bleeding disorders
Women's Study

Announcement - March 10, 2010:

I am very excited to announce that I have received IRB approval to commence my doctoral study on women with severe and moderate bleeding disorders.
For my research, I will need to conduct 1-2 hour long taped in-person interviews with women ages 18 and over with a moderate or severe bleeding disorder about their experiences living with a bleeding disorder and how it has impacted on other aspects of life. These interviews will be confidential. Only I, the interviewer, will know the identity of the participants. There may be a telephone follow-up interview if I feel I need to clarify what someone has said during an in-person interview.

The participants will be offered an incentive of $35.00. I will meet them at a mutually convenient location. Yes, I will travel. Of course, these participants must be able to participate in an interview in English. (I will be the interviewer.)

I have attached the stamped recruitment flyer with my contact information. Consenting will be done through Cornell.

Thank you in advance for helping advance knowledge of this under-researched population. If you have any questions about this project, feel free to contact me directly.
